p-Coumaric Acid Protects Human Lens Epithelial Cells against Oxidative Stress-Induced Apoptosis by MAPK Signaling

p-CA prevented H₂O₂-induced cell apoptosis in HLE cells. (a) HLE cells were pretreated with p-CA (3, 10, and 30 μM) for 2 h before 275 μM H₂O₂ treatment for 6 h. The apoptotic cells were detected by flow cytometry after staining with both FITC annexin V and PI. (b) HLE cells were pretreated with p-CA (3, 10, and 30 μM) for 2 h before 275 μM H₂O₂ treatment for 24 h. Cleaved caspase-3 and cleaved caspase-9 expressions were measured by Western blot.
