Prevention of Huntington’s Disease-Like Behavioral Deficits in R6/1 Mouse by Tolfenamic Acid Is Associated with Decreases in Mutant Huntingtin and Oxidative Stress

Effects of tolfenamic acid on cognitive dysfunction in R6/1 mice. R6/1 mice exhibited memory recall and visual recognition deficits in the novel object recognition test (a), a decrease in spontaneous alternation behavior and arm entries in the Y maze test (b, c), and more error times in the passive avoidance test (d) compared to control mice. Tolfenamic acid treatment attenuated the cognitive deficits in the novel object recognition test and the passive avoidance test, but not in the Y maze test.
