EPR Spectroscopic Examination of Different Types of Paramagnetic Centers in the Blood in the Course of Burn Healing

The influence of time of therapy for the amplitudes () of the high-spin Fe3+ in methemoglobin (I), high-spin Fe3+ in transferrin (II), and Cu2+ in ceruloplasmin and free radicals (III), in the blood for skin burned wounds treated with new generation biodegradable dressings containing poly(lactide-co-glycolide). The data obtained after 1 day, 10 days, and 21 days of therapy were compared.
