The 5-Lipoxygenase Inhibitor Zileuton Protects Pressure Overload-Induced Cardiac Remodeling via Activating PPAR<i>α</i>

<div>PPAR<i>α</i> knockdown blunts zileuton’s antioxidative effect and cardioprotection in vivo. Mice were subjected to AAV9-shPPAR<i>α</i> injection. Two weeks after injection, the mice were subjected to AB surgery. One week after AB, the mice were treated with zileuton (100 mg/kg/d) for 7 weeks.
