Salvianolic Acid C against Acetaminophen-Induced Acute Liver Injury by Attenuating Inflammation, Oxidative Stress, and Apoptosis through Inhibition of the Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1 Signaling

SAC inhibited antioxidant enzymes (catalase, SOD, and GPx) (a) and detoxification capacities via the Nrf2/Keap1 signaling pathway (b) in APAP-induced acute liver injury in mice. Total protein was extracted from liver tissues, and the protein levels of catalase, SOD, GPx, HO-1, Nrf2, Keap1, NQO1, GCLC, and GCLM were determined by Western blot analysis. β-Actin served as a loading control. The values are reported as the .E.M. of five mice per group. compared with the control group; , , and compared with the APAP group.
