Oxidized Oils and Oxidized Proteins Induce Apoptosis in Granulosa Cells by Increasing Oxidative Stress in Ovaries of Laying Hens

<div>Effect of dietary-oxidized oil and dietary-oxidized protein on prehierarchical follicle (a–c) and hierarchical follicle (d–f) granulosa cell apoptosis rate of laying hens. Granulosa cells stained with fluorescein isothiocyanate- (APC-) Annexin V/propidium iodide (PI). Flow cytometric analysis defined early stage apoptosis as APC-Annexin V<sup>+</sup> and PI<sup>-</sup>. Late stage apoptosis was defined as APC-Annexin V<sup>+</sup> and PI<sup>+</sup> in cells.
