Kirenol Inhibits B[a]P-Induced Oxidative Stress and Apoptosis in Endothelial Cells via Modulation of the Nrf2 Signaling Pathway

KRL can be seen to trigger the PI3/AKT pathway in B[a]P-induced HUVECs cells. (a) Cells were pretreated using a PI3K/AKT inhibitor for 2 hours. This was followed by KRL (25 μmol) and/or B[a]P (5 μmol) for 24 hours. Western blotting detected the pPI3K, pAKT, Nrf2, and HO-1 levels by anti-PI3K, anti-pAKT, anti-Nrf2, and anti-HO-1.
