In Vitro Wound Healing Potential of Photobiomodulation Is Possibly Mediated by Its Stimulatory Effect on AKT Expression in Adipose-Derived Stem Cells

Nuclear damage assessment by Hoechst 33258 staining in ADSCs in normal, wounded, diabetic, and diabetic wounded cell models irradiated at a wavelength of 660 and 830 nm with a fluence of 5 J/cm2 and incubated for 24 h. In the nonirradiated groups, irregular-shaped nuclei, fragmented nuclei, and apoptotic cells (red arrow) were observed. In nonirradiated diabetic and diabetic wounded cells, there is an increase in the number of apoptotic cells and nuclear condensation. On the other hand, the irradiated groups showed uniformly stained nuclei, signifying dense nuclei without any fragmentation (red arrows). .
