Catalpol-Induced AMPK Activation Alleviates Cisplatin-Induced Nephrotoxicity through the Mitochondrial-Dependent Pathway without Compromising Its Anticancer Properties

AMPK is involved in the effect of CAT on mitophagy, ROS, and apoptosis. HK-2 cells were treated with CAT, CAT and Compound C, or free-fetal medium. Then, the cells were treated with the indicated drugs or complete medium. The changes in mitochondrial membrane potential (a), mitophagy activity (b), and ROS accumulation (c) are shown.
