Acteoside Counteracts Interleukin-1β-Induced Catabolic Processes through the Modulation of Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinases and the NFκB Cellular Signaling Pathway

Acteoside suppressed the expression of IL-1β-induced catabolic proinflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors in primary rat chondrocytes. Primary rat chondrocytes were treated with 50 μM acteoside in the presence or absence of 10 ng/mL IL-1β for 24 h. Total proteins were extracted, and the cytokine array was performed according the manufacturer’s instructions.
