Acteoside Counteracts Interleukin-1β-Induced Catabolic Processes through the Modulation of Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinases and the NFκB Cellular Signaling Pathway

Acteoside suppresses MAPK and NFκB phosphorylation in primary rat chondrocytes treated with IL-1β. Primary rat chondrocytes were treated with 50 and 100 μM acteoside in the presence or absence of 10 ng/mL IL-1β for 24 h. Thereafter, total proteins were extracted to perform western blot using MAPK and NFκB antibody.
