Mycophenolic Acid Induces the Intestinal Epithelial Barrier Damage through Mitochondrial ROS

<div>MMF induces intestinal barrier destruction in vivo. KM mice were randomly divided into two groups, the control group received saline and the MMF group received MMF (500 mg/kg) for 21 consecutive days. The level of Serum DAO and ET were detected by ELISA (a, b). The expression of ZO-1 and occludin proteins in the ileum tissue was detected by Western blot (c) and immunofluorescence assay (d). Occludin showed red fluorescence and ZO-1 showed green fluorescence, and DAPI-stained nuclei showed blue fluorescence.
