PPARγ activation induces TFPI-1 expression in human blood mononuclear cells in vivo. RNA was extracted from PBMC isolated from 14 patients before and after 2 months of pioglitazone treatment (30 mg/day). TFPI-1 mRNA levels were measured by Q-PCR and normalized to cyclophilin mRNA.
