Appraisal of the Possible Role of PPARγ Upregulation by CLA of Probiotic Pediococcus pentosaceus GS4 in Colon Cancer Mitigation
Figure 5
The biohydrogenation-derived CLA of probiotics GS4 altered cell metabolism in HCT-116. The HCT-116 cells were pre-treated with BADGE (20 μM) for 1 hour followed by CLA/CLAGS4 treatment for 48 hour treatment. The glucose uptake was estimated by incubation with 100 μg/mL 2-NBDG for 30 minutes followed by estimation of accumulated 2-NBDG using fluorospectrometer. (a) Scanning spectrum. (b) The calculated glucose uptake (% of control) among different groups. (c) The NAD+ (nm) was estimated using NAD+ assay kit (Cayman Chemical). Statistical analysis of data (means ± SE) was determined by one way-ANOVA with post hoc Newman–Keuls analysis and depicted as *versus control; # versus BADGE control.
