The results are representative of 6 duplicate experiments. (b) Plots illustrate chemotactic ability (expressed as numeral of number relative to adenosine 0 μM in the ordinate) of adult and cord blood PMNs. The chemotactic ability of adult PMNs was decreased by about 40% at an adenosine concentration of 0.1 μM (compared with adenosine 0 μM). Data are expressed as mean ± SE.
