Abstract
The dynamic design of graphic language can be seen everywhere in life as the digital media era progresses. Graphic designs, such as product packaging, poster design, book binding design, and logo design, are examples of traditional visual design. The print media is the most important factor. Graphic design that is aided by digital media technology is not limited to print but also includes network media. The teaching research of China’s visual design specialty is still in its early stages, the relevant teaching system reform of various colleges and universities is still being explored, and there is no unified standard in the digital information age. As a result, it is critical to conduct in-depth research using scientific and systematic methods in order to pave the way for the development of a domestic visual design specialty in the information age. Simultaneously, the popularization and development of new media have had a significant impact on traditional printing media, breaking the monotony of traditional visual communication and making modern visual design more vivid and intuitive. Visual perception in psychology is introduced into design thinking in this paper. Apart from its expression in art culture, the concept of space also encompasses the physics concepts of time and space, as well as the scientific research theory of visual perception in psychology, which transcends the perceptual cognition level of space in art design.
1. Introduction
Based on the theory of visual design, through the analysis and research of different themes in the development of Chinese and Western painting art, it is argued that people’s understanding of “space” is constantly changing, and this change reflects people’s self-cognition. The cognition of nature and the cognition of the universe are also constantly improving, and the aesthetic experience brought by visual space therefore has a deeper meaning [1]. This trend must also bring more expressive possibilities to the category of visual design, enrich the author’s creative methods, increase information transmission channels, and also give recipients more acceptance channels and methods [2]. Today’s visual design is moving in the direction of interdisciplinary, and the knowledge reserve of a single discipline is not enough to support more and more complex projects. In the process of research on this subject, by consulting a large number of documents and combined with the development mode under the current Chinese digital media teaching mode, this paper understands and analyzes this visual communication mode from a new angle and direction, analyzes the development process of visual communication education, and puts forward the overall goal and direction of visual design education [3].
From the perspective of design art and stage aesthetics, we objectively and rationally examine and study the visual application of digital media art in stage design at home and abroad, combining scientific and artistic methods in the same creative process and exploring the art world in scientific research [4]. Sensory stimulation and situational space experience design are two modern visual design methods for multisensory expression. We can better understand the multisensory expression research situation at home and abroad by investigating and analyzing it [4]. Read the theoretical works related to this topic, consult books and magazines about modern visual design, multisensory expression, Gestalt psychology, etc., extract and sort out the consulted theoretical knowledge, quote and digest the contents of the literature, and find the theoretical basis and theoretical support for this research [5]. Make a detailed comparison of the visual design in digital media and print media and analyze and summarize the common characteristics and differences between the two, in the process of comparison and analysis, which can more clearly interpret the research object, so as to understand the further characteristics. The analysis has a corresponding theoretical environment [6]. Get a comprehensive understanding of the application research of digital media art in display design from related digital media scholars and designers, which gives precious reference opinions for the preliminary research and design of the subject. Under the influence of digital technology and network technology, visual design has become a comprehensive discipline that intersects technology and art. Therefore, the research on art design can no longer stay on a single subject [7].
The innovation is to summarize from the perspective of art based on the visual art analysis of digital media art in contemporary stage design. The role, expression, characteristics, principles, and other factors of digital media art on the visualization of stage design make the connotation of visual art combined with the two more infectious and realize the improvement of visual art quality of digital media art in stage design [8]. Through the complementary functions of various senses, comprehensive multisensory cross-cutting and comprehensive communication, people can feel the design works personally and present new visual innovations and impact of modern visual design [9, 10]. The penetration and influence of digital technology on design make visual design a combination of technology and art and guide people to receive information. Meanwhile, the change of mass information dissemination mode also urges visual design to constantly adjust its development direction. Digital media communication is increasingly becoming the mainstream of people’s lives, so it is of profound practical significance to study the influence of digital multimedia on visual design [11]. This paper expounds the method of multisensory expression in modern visual communication design and then analyzes the application of digital media technology in visual communication design with computer analysis method, which proves its effectiveness.
2. Multisensory Expression Method in Modern Visual Design
2.1. Sensory Stimulation Method
At present, in the multimedia era, people’s behavior and consumption habits have changed, which puts forward new requirements for visual design and makes it develop towards diversification in specific design methods and design means, so it is necessary to make scientific treatment for words, graphics, etc., so as to meet people’s visual experience [12]. People’s cognition of things cannot go back to the period of agricultural life to slowly understand and savor [13]. The speed with which information is disseminated today is faster than in any previous era. In interactive digital media, the audience engages in active click rather than passive acceptance during the dissemination of information. Audiences who are given different types of information will receive different kinds of responses. The goal of interaction design is to focus on people’s initiative and interaction in visual cognition in order to achieve true humanized communication. The carriers of digital media interactivity now include web page design, game interactive role design, digital interface design, display design, and multimedia advertising design [14].
Image fusion is the image of the same scene acquired by different types of sensors. The process usually includes the following steps, as shown in Figure 1.

Install LED digital lights on the costumes of stage performers, just like wearing props. With the continuous progress of the plot, the costumes emit different lights and show different colors and brightness. Different from the communication form in the traditional media era, the digital communication mode can make information spread conveniently and globally, and it is more vivid and interesting than the communication form in the traditional media era [15]. The shape itself will present visual stimulation. Like a plane, the picture area can be parallel and fall on the two-dimensional surface, but it can also give a sense of direction to the shape by using the axis implied in the shape or shape combination, so as to create “depth” and present a three-dimensional representation.
To clarify the visual changes of digital media and art to stage design, it is necessary to analyze the visual components of stage design and its various relationships with digital media art, as shown in Figure 2.

Digital media is digital. In the information age, advanced digital technology and Internet technology are the support for the effective transmission of new media information. The update of technology makes the visual performance of new media richer and makes people get better experience. Nowadays, advanced technologies such as holographic projection and touch screen change are gradually widely used. “Digitization” has reached all aspects of people’s lives [16]. Digital media is intelligent. With the continuous development of science and technology, the artistic forms of digital media are diversified. The manner in which information is disseminated differs from that of the traditional media era. Its dissemination is intelligent, and it can convey information without being hampered by practical constraints like time, space, or location [17]. People explain things using the visual associations that color evokes in them. For example, the color red evokes excitement in people because it is associated with flames, blood donations, flowers, and so on; however, this association theory is flawed because it appears to ignore the directness and spontaneity of color’s effect. Modeling is characterized by texture. In three-dimensional objects, it is simple, but in two-dimensional representations, it is not so simple. Synesthesia, which is formed by human visual experience, realizes the tactile sensation brought on by texture in a two-dimensional plane [18]. Digital information has permeated all aspects of people’s lives in the new era. People’s growing aesthetic needs can no longer be met by a single static mode of communication. Graphics, text, sound, and animation can all be combined using digital multimedia technology to bring people together: a multisensory experience. Sensory stimulation can be used to increase the contrast, but also to increase the saturation of the colors in the visual elements, using higher saturation colors [19].
2.2. Situational Space Experience Design Method
Maslow’s theory of psychological needs divides human needs into five levels, and experience is the highest level of needs. Since ancient times, graphic language has been used as a tool to store and convey human information. Primitive people originated from the need of understanding and transforming nature, and they used primitive patterns to record information [20]. In the field of film and television, we can see the dynamic design of many graphic languages. For example, in the case of a scenic spot: 007 movie title design, the method of reconstruction and diffusion of graphics is used for dynamic expression, which is more attractive to watching movies. The viewer arouses interest and continues to watch, which can also set a tone for the theme of the movie and convey part of the movie’s information to the viewers. Graphic language has two visual forms: concrete and abstract. Concrete graphic language refers to the design based on the real and recognizable shape of the object; abstract graphic language refers to the high-level generalization of the object, not based on expressing intuitive objects, but expressing a kind of abstract emotional information [21].
The stage design consists of six visual parts: setting, lighting, makeup, clothing, effects, and props, as shown in Figure 3.

Among Picasso’s famous works, most of the visual features of the picture are composed of different parts of the same character from different perspectives and at different times, and the picture characters can also be identified [22]. Visual design embodies the characteristics of the times and rich connotations of design. With the advancement of science and technology and the intersection of other fields, its field has gradually formed a new field of design related to other visual media. The form of digital media conveying information is different from the two-dimensional space restriction of printed media. Traditional graphic language design is restricted by printed media, while digital media can create a multidimensional virtual space [23].
The interaction between virtual and reality is quite complicated. First of all, the system must use a special tool with a simple appearance and easy to identify as virtual keys, and then, the system can be controlled. The system workflow is shown in Figure 4.

Some art forms have been recognized as new media art by many scholars. Compared with the previous traditional art, they have created brand-new visual and artistic expression because of the intervention and change of creative media [24]. Our common interactive advertising design, web page interactive design, multimedia design, and so on are all the embodiment of interactive design, which enriches the multisensory experience of the audience. Breaking through the tradition of operating, coloring, and shaping in the dimensional space, the multidimensional space-time in the digital world is arbitrarily selected, juxtaposed, and processed, and time and space are no longer unique, but fully deconstructed. The visual characteristics of digital media art have become the disorder and fragmentation of time, the freedom and flatness of space, the multidimensional view of space, and the synchronic view of time [25]. Although the processing of information by digital media is abstract and digital in a modern technological society, communication can be humane and emotional. Even more satisfying is the advancement in visual processing, which provides essential visual performance. Both digital media art and new media art are based on the development of new technologies. The technological revolution has expanded the creative space of digital media art and new media art, designed many virtual worlds and themed works, and developed new interpersonal relationships. And expressive space and its interactive, transformative, and virtual nature create a more relaxed creative platform for artists [26].
3. Trend Analysis in Display Design
3.1. Display Technology Is Greater Than Display Art
In the environment of digital media art, display design is becoming more and more complicated, which not only depends on the overall grasp and creativity of display designers but also needs the cooperation of relevant professionals. Only when the two cooperate closely can a consensus be reached between them, and display design can show its due brilliance [27].
Thorough learning and mastering of current digital media art, and integration and application in the stage design process, is in this era of rapid technological development [28]. Based on the essence of art, the stage design visual form and media should be continuously explored and researched on this basis. The visual expression logic framework of digital media art in stage design is shown in Figure 5.

The “media” in multimedia is not the same as the “media” in communication; rather, it refers to the “sensory media” in media classification: information media that people can identify and perceive through sensory organs, such as words, graphics, images, audio, and videos, can realize the comprehensive treatment of various sensory media, thereby forming a good interactive system technology [29]. To ensure that a graphics, image, audio, video, or other curve on a point is smooth, first determine that the point is continuous on the curve, and then, find the derivative of multiple Bezier curves with respect to . The least squares method is used to solve problems. The control points and are calculated using the method, where and are constants and the equation holds, i.e., the formula for the control points is as follows:
At present, the emerging media and technical forms represented by the Internet have opened up a broad space for artistic creation and have a profound impact on the whole design field [30]. Designers need to reorganize design elements such as text and image, such as graphic design, three-dimensional design, and even more space design, so as to design more vivid and personalized works. In this paper, the comprehensive comparison of the images obtained by algorithm simulation 1 and simulation 2 is the best, which makes the target area prominent, maintains high image definition, and improves the resolution and contrast, as shown in Figure 6.

For technical reasons, traditional media, such as print media, are mostly the presentation of static effects, and the emotional experience is single. Dynamic and static are two opposite states. This refers to two different forms of graphic language design, but whether it is dynamic or static, it is basically the design of graphic language, no matter which form the designer expresses. In the design process, we must follow the basic composition of graphic language design and layout principles such as layout.
NURBS is an advanced parametric curve and surface modeling method. In recent years, it has been widely used in many fields, such as CAD/CAM and computer graphics. It has obvious geometric interpretation, which makes it particularly useful for designers with good geometric knowledge, especially descriptive geometry, and has been supported by many international standards.
A -degree NURBS curve is defined as is the weight or weight factor, the first and last weight factor , and the rest .
is the control vertices, connected into control polygons in sequence.
is the -th rational B-spline function on the node vector defined as

Visual designers who use multisensory expression not only take the integration of visual elements as a starting point and visual expression as the driving force but also go beyond the limitations of single visual element expression. In terms of visual communication, they use multiangle and all-around stimulation of the entire human sensory system to develop the audience’s sensory function. The common information and edge information of the results are fused using fusion methods based on target area, pixel, and window, respectively. The common information and edge information of the results based on target area are larger than those of the fusion methods based on pixel and window, indicating that the fusion results of this method contain more information of the original image. The fusion method’s result based on the target region is vastly improved. The result pairs of the fusion method based on the target region, pixels, and windows are shown in Figure 7.

Compared with traditional media, the Internet has many obvious advantages, such as high-speed and efficient dissemination of information, large capacity of information resources, online interaction of graphics and text, and the characteristics of network digital information dissemination integrating vision, hearing, and man-machine interaction. These advantages are also the reason for the rapid development of network economy and have a great impact on traditional print media. It also brings new opportunities and challenges to graphic design relying on print media.
In order to meet the image fusion effect, the piecewise linear grayscale transformation method is used to preprocess the infrared image, which can enhance the contrast of the image and make the target recognition in the infrared image higher. This method has less computation and short running time.
The mathematical formula of the piecewise linear transformation method is as follows:
The concept of a new global village is a change in the concept of communication. With the continuous development of new communication media, a brand-new communication method has emerged. This style endowed with the cultural flavor of the times has made the relationship between people become closer, only a kind of culture has reached the style of the current era, will it show a new kind of creativity. When the number of outer iterations changes, the trend of changes in various indicators on each data set is similar. When the number of outer iterations is equal to 5, it is not the case that the best numerical results are obtained. Therefore, only the changes of the two numerical indicators on the Pleiades data set are shown. When the number of external iterations changes from 1 to 20, the changing trends of SAM (red) and ERGAS (blue) are shown in Figure 8.

The combination of digital audio art and sound effects not only plays an important role in rendering performance situations, creating stage atmosphere, setting plot suspense, intensifying plot conflicts, portraying characters, etc., but also enables the audience to strengthen their conscious participation in the process of enjoying the performance, thus obtaining a more realistic stage atmosphere and visual experience. The comparison between remote sensing image fusion algorithm based on frame wavelet and RKHS method can be seen from Figure 9, and it also has great advantages in running time.

The average gradient index is used to evaluate the sharpness of the image. It refers to the sum of the differences in the vertical and horizontal directions of the image. It reflects the details of the image texture change to some extent and is very sensitive to the edge information with large pixel gray difference. The mathematical expression of the average gradient is as follows:
With the advent of the digital age, communication technology has shifted to relying on relatively simple forms to disseminate information, narrowing the gap between visual art and the general public. Many exhibition designs in China’s small and medium-sized exhibitions focus solely on the presentation of technology while ignoring art. Technicians frequently perform multiple tasks. When using traditional market methods, different displayed products are identical, but when using new technologies and means, they are unable to give people a positive feeling. As a result, more artistic elements should be included in the exhibition design in the future.
3.2. Reality Combined with Virtuality
With the ever-changing information dissemination environment, the manifestation of visual design has also continued to evolve. The rapid development of digital media and information technology has brought people new communication methods of the network and multimedia and enriched the carrier form of visual communication. Figure 10 shows the comparison of the three SNR curves under different setting values.

Median filtering has the best effect on noise suppression, and the overlimit pixel smoothing method is slightly worse than median filtering, but better than mean filtering. Traditional stage design is often limited by objective factors such as stage time and space and cannot express more artistic conception. However, digital media art gives stage design more possibilities. Faced with many development platforms and spaces, designers can reflect on the problems in traditional design patterns, make 2D and 3D designs stable, and make more perfect adjustments and modifications to image sizes and pixels. Compared with static design, the dynamic design of visual communication is different in that it not only deals with the manifestation of plane visual elements and rationally arranges the morphological composition of each element itself but also considers the timeline and movement of visual elements in a picture, line and switching effects of different screens. Suppose there are three types of receptors in the retina. These three types of receptors contain visual pigments that are sensitive to red, green, and blue. The R receptor is sensitive to the long-wave region of visible light, the G receptor is sensitive to the midwave region of visible light, and the B receptor is sensitive to visible light in the short-wave zone. Figure 11 shows the spectral absorption curves of the three types of pyramidal cells. It can be seen that the absorption rate of the B visual pigment is the largest at 400 nm, the absorption rate of the G visual pigment is the largest at 500 nm, and the absorption rate of the R visual pigment is the largest at 600 nm.

In a static two-dimensional picture, if you want to create the three-dimensional spatial nature, you generally need to achieve it in an indirect way, that is, translate the physical space through two-dimensional arrangement, such as a flat-out diagram of a cube or multiviews. This indirect way of communication weakens the immediacy of visual expression and requires the viewer’s thinking construction to restore its three-dimensional physical space image. Dynamic images are the product of the combination of visual design, computer technology, and information science and technology. They have obvious characteristics of the times and science and technology, which has a great influence on people’s dynamic information receiving methods and aesthetic concepts.
The comprehensive sensory application of digital media enables audiences to actively participate in information exchange activities and achieve the effect of efficient interactive communication of information. Multisensory memory is better than single-sensory memory. It only depends on visual experience. After a period of time, the memory is less than 10%, and the memory of multisensory is 5 times that of the former. For sensory memory curve 1 and curve 2 in different time periods, the comparison is shown in Figure 12.

Media such as radio, television, and computer have gradually become important modes of communication, which is a communication concept that keeps pace with the times. In particular, today, with the advent of tablet computers, people’s demands for digitalization are getting higher and higher. With the development and improvement of large-scale digitalization, the original printed matter can no longer meet the needs of current development. With the development of network platform, the transmission between media has become more meticulous and delicate, and the communication ability and communication level between people have been further improved. When doing exhibition design, the design objects we face are all substantial commodities, but the commodities shown by using virtual reality technology are immaterial.
Excellent stage design should have shocking and impact power. The extension of the stage design’s visual anti-image space should be an expansion from the visual to the audience. It must resonate in the audience’s heart so that it can be thought-provoking. The multisensory expression in modern visual design takes the visual design communication method as the mainstream, mainly the communication method of visual elements, supplemented by other sensory expressions, and permeates the multisensory expression from all angles and omnidirectional. Research has proved that people’s acceptance of visual information is limited, and concise and clear design works are more popular with people. Dynamic visual design distributes the information on each screen and integrates the connotation of the design work by multiple information screens so that people receive maximum information easily and joyfully.
4. Conclusions
