For many early career researchers becoming a journal editor is an aspiration. Getting that position is the sign you’ve finally made it. But how do you go from early career researcher to that prestigious office. With your whole career ahead of you how can you make sure you’re making the right steps forward and preparing yourself for success. 

On November 9th at 9am EST/2pm GMT, join our expert panel of speakers, Dr Mithun Sinha, Associate Editor for Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity (Hindawi) and RNA Biology (Taylor & Francis), Dr Clark Holdsworth, Senior Manager, Communications & Partnerships LetPub, and Eti Moore, Researcher Engagement Manager, Hindawi, as they discuss how researchers at every career stage can start working towards becoming a journal editor. About the speakers

Dr Mithun Sinha, Associate Editor for Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity (Hindawi) and RNA Biology (Taylor & Francis).
Dr Sinha serves as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, US. He received his doctoral degree in Biotechnology from University of Calcutta, India. Prior to joining Indiana University, he did his post-doctoral training at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. His laboratory focuses on bacterial biofilm mediated surgical implant complications and wound healing. His work is funded through multiple NIH grants. In his editorial responsibilities, he serves as Associate Editor for Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity (Hindawi) and RNA Biology (Taylor & Francis). His editorial assignment started with OMCL where he served as guest editor for a special issue in 2017. Thereby, he went on to become Academic Editor in 2018 and subsequently Associate Editor in 2020.

Dr Clark Holdsworth, Senior Manager, Communications & Partnerships, LetPub.
Dr Holdsworth oversees communications projects and partnerships at LetPub. LetPub has thousands of interactions with authors and journals annually. Dr. Holdsworth and the Learning Nexus Team filter these experiences into an intuitive and effective educational experience for authors and journal editors.

Eti Moore, Researcher Engagement Manager, Hindawi.
Eti handles journal management and editor recruitment and works with the Open Science team on new initiatives. Eti ensures editor recruitment at Hindawi is a data driven process and editorial boards are appropriately staffed to handle the number of submissions to the journal.
