1. Rapid Classification and Treatment Algorithm of Cardiogenic Shock Complicating Acute Coronary Syndromes: The SAVE ACS Classification
In this study, published in Journal of Interventional Cardiology, Academic Editor Vasileios Panoulas, and co-author Charles Ilsley, aimed to identify the independent “frontline” predictors of 30-day mortality in patients with acute coronary syndromes. The study also proposes a rapid cardiogenic shock classification that could assist physicians in decision making for early mechanical circulatory support deployment.

2. Relapsing TIPIC Syndrome after Administration of an mRNA-Based COVID-19 Vaccine
In this case study, reported in Case Reports in Vascular Medicine, Academic Editor Matthias Reinhard and colleagues describe a case of a 49-year-old woman with perivascular transient inflammation of the carotid artery (TIPIC) syndrome presenting a few days after her second vaccination with an mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine. The authors advise that TIPIC syndrome should be considered in new-onset neck pain after vaccination.

In this review article, published in Cardiovascular Therapeutics, Academic Editor Nicholas Norgard and colleagues cover the diagnosis and screening of Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), cardiovascular comorbidities associated with OSA, clinical management, and the impact of treatment on cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
