Researcher Live Event: Potential application of a leafy cactus as a natural food preservative

Join us this Friday 25th February at 8am GMT for a live event in collaboration with Researcher.

Pereskia bleo, a leafy cactus native to South America, has been traditionally used to treat a range of illnesses yet few studies have been carried out into its effectiveness.

Dr Khong Heng Yeni, the corresponding author of Total Phenolic Content and Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activities of Pereskia bleo in Advances in Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, will explain the background and findings of the research, and how Pereskia bleo may have potential uses as a natural food preservative, before a Q&A session.
