Benefitting from the popular uses of internet technologies, two-sided market has been playing an increasing prominent role in modern times. Users and developers can interact with each other through two-sided platforms. The two-sided market structure has been investigated profoundly. Through building a dynamics two-sided market model with bounded rational, stability conditions of the two-sided market competition system are presented. With the help of bifurcation diagram, Lyapunov exponent, and strange attractor, the stability of the two-sided market competition model is simulated. At last, we use the time-delayed feedback control (TDFC) method to control the chaos. Our main results are as follows: (1) when the adjustment speed of two-sided increases, the system becomes bifurcation, and chaos state happens finally. When the system is stable, the consumer fee is positive while developer fee is negative. (2) When the user externality increases, the stable area of the system increases, and the difference in user externality leads the whole system more stable. When the system is stable, the developer fee decreases. (3) The stable area becomes larger when developer externality increases; when the system is stable, the user fee becomes lower and developer fee becomes higher when developer externality increases. (4) The TDFC method is presented for controlling the chaos; we find that the system becomes more stable under the TDFC method.

Stability, Bifurcation, and Chaos Control of Two-Sided Market Competition

The use of Arabic mobile games has increased in the last decade. The Arabic mobile game market is rapidly growing as well, where more games are being developed or localized to target Arabic game players and attract newcomers. Little existing work, however, has been done to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, and satisfying Arabic mobile games. Previous studies have shown that most developers of Arabic mobile games do not evaluate these games because of the lack of usability evaluation methods that are specifically designed for such games. In this paper, we present Arabic Mobile Game Heuristics, which is a list of usability heuristics that were explicitly adapted for evaluating Arabic mobile games. The list was developed by revising and modifying Nielsen&#x2019;s list of heuristics and the game usability principles. Validating the proposed heuristics was achieved by comparing the outcomes of evaluating two Arabic mobile games using the three lists of usability heuristics. Results indicate that the proposed heuristics allowed evaluators to find additional usability issues and identify more severe problems than using the other two lists.

Usability Heuristics for Evaluating Arabic Mobile Games

A variety of numerical techniques have been explored to solve the shallow water equations in real-time water simulations for computer graphics applications. However, determining the stability of a numerical algorithm is a complex and involved task when a coupled set of nonlinear partial differential equations need to be solved. This paper proposes a novel and simple technique to compare the relative empirical stability of finite difference (or any grid-based scheme) algorithms by solving the inviscid Burgers&#x2019; equation to analyse their respective breaking times. To exemplify the method to evaluate numerical stability, a range of finite difference schemes is considered. The technique is effective at evaluating the relative stability of the considered schemes and demonstrates that the conservative schemes have superior stability.

Evaluating the Stability of Numerical Schemes for Fluid Solvers in Game Technology

The automatic synthesis of realistic gestures has the ability to change the fields of animation, avatars, and communication agents. Although speech-driven synthetic gesture generation methods have been proposed and optimized, the evaluation system of synthetic gestures is still lacking. The current evaluation method still needs manual participation, but it is inefficient in the industry of synthetic gestures and has the interference of human factors. So we need a model that can construct an automatic and objective quantitative quality assessment of the synthesized gesture video. We noticed that recurrent neural networks (RNN) have advantages in modeling advanced spatiotemporal feature sequences, which are very suitable for use in the processing of synthetic gesture video data. Therefore, to build an automatic quality assessment system, we propose in our work a model based on Bi-LSTM and make a little adjustment on the attention mechanism in it. Also, the evaluation method is proposed and experiments are designed to prove that the improved model of the algorithm can complete the quantitative evaluation of synthetic gestures. At the same time, in terms of performance, the model has an improvement of about 20&#x0025; compared to before the algorithm adjustment.

Automatic Quality Assessment of Speech-Driven Synthesized Gestures

Autism spectrum disorder refers to a neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by repetitive behavior patterns, impaired social interaction, and impaired verbal and nonverbal communication. The ability to recognize mental states from facial expressions plays an important role in both social interaction and interpersonal communication. Thus, in recent years, several proposals have been presented, aiming to contribute to the improvement of emotional skills in order to improve social interaction. In this paper, a game is presented to support the development of emotional skills in people with autism spectrum disorder. The software used helps to develop the ability to recognize and express six basic emotions: joy, sadness, anger, disgust, surprise, and fear. Based on the theory of facial action coding systems and digital image processing techniques, it is possible to detect facial expressions and classify them into one of the six basic emotions. Experiments were performed using four public domain image databases (CK+, FER2013, RAF-DB, and MMI) and a group of children with autism spectrum disorder for evaluating the existing emotional skills. The results showed that the proposed software contributed to improvement of the skills of detection and recognition of the basic emotions in individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
