EO: essential oil-containing antiseptic; furcation involvement ( ), number of teeth with furcation involvement; PPD: probing pocket depth; CAL: clinical attachment level; BOP: bleeding on probing. Values are expressed as mean ± SD. No statistically significant difference was observed for any variables between the 3 groups (Kruskal-Wallis test). Statistically significant difference was observed for all variables between shallow pockets and deep pockets (P < 0.05, Mann-Whitney test).
