Effect of nebivolol and atenolol on RNA expression of proteins linked to inflammation (IL-6 and TNFalpha) and to thrombotic state (tissue factor, PAI-1, and uPA) induced by oxidative stress in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). HUVECs were incubated with nebivolol or atenolol (10 𝜇M) for 24 hours at 37^°C; oxidative stress was induced by the addition of oxidized (ox)LDL (50 𝜇g protein mL⁻¹). ^∗𝑃<.001 versus control; ^†𝑃<.01 versus ox-LDL.
