CD83 and HLA-DR expression on dendritic cells during activation. After the differentiation period (5 days), cells were incubated for further 48 h with or without TNF-α (50 ng/mL), in the presence or absence of 20 μM of p38 inhibitor (SB202109). CD83 and HLA-DR expression were analyzed by flow cytometry. Data are expressed as (a) the percentage of CD83⁺ cells, or (b) MFI (mean of fluorescence intensity) of CD83⁺ cells, (c) MFI of HLA-DR⁺ cells, and lines denote the means of 3–5 independent experiments. ∗ is significantly different from TNF-α (^∗).
