Autophagy phenomenon after CNTNAP3 manipulation. (a) In HeLa cells, the average number of GFP-LC3 punctuated dots per cell of CNTNAP3 overexpression group was , comparing to in CNTNAP3 knockdown group and in empty vector group. (b) In SW620 cells, the average number of GFP-LC3 punctuated dots per cell of CNTNAP3 overexpression group was , while it was in CNTNAP3 knockdown group and in empty vector group. It was shown that autophagy vacuoles significantly increased (HeLa, and SW620, ) and decreased (HeLa, and SW620, ) after CNTNAP3 overexpression and CNTNAP3 siRNA interference compared with cells transfected with empty vectors. ((i) Normal control; (ii) empty vector; (iii) CNTNAP3 overexpression; (iv) CNTNAP3 knockdown).
