Allicin Alleviates Inflammation of Trinitrobenzenesulfonic Acid-Induced Rats and Suppresses P38 and JNK Pathways in Caco-2 Cells

<div>Levels of cytokines in the serum. Serum TNF-<i>α</i> and IL-1<i>β</i> levels of TNBS-induced rats were dramatically decreased by drug treatment, and mesalazine + allicin group was the lowest (a and b); sulfasalazine and mesalazine + allicin rose serum IL-4 level; however, these drugs did not alter serum IL-10 level (c and d).
