RT-qPCR was performed to assess mRNA levels in colonic mucosa biopsies from UC patients, bars show means with standard error of the mean of IL-6 and IL-8 transcript levels with GAPDH, RPLP0, and ACTB as housekeeping gene determined by 2ΔΔCt, and differences among groups were assessed by Kruskal-Wallis test.</div>
