Folic Acid Is Able to Polarize the Inflammatory Response in LPS Activated Microglia by Regulating Multiple Signaling Pathways

Effects of folic acid on the LPS-induced phosphorylation of IκBα. Cells were treated with the indicated doses of folic acid (5, 10, 30, and 50 μg/mL) for 1 h before LPS (1 μg/mL) treatment for 12 h. Total cell lysates were prepared for western blot analysis for the content of p-IκBα protein in BV-2 cells. Protein levels were determined by measuring immunoblot band intensities by scanning densitometry. Data represent the means ± S.D. of five separate experiments. .
