Serum ST2 level in patients with type 1 diabetes and healthy individuals from the control group. The level of serum ST2 (sST2) was measured by ELISA in all study individuals. The mean value (10/90 percentiles) of sST2 was 37.3 (26.4/48.9) and 17 (13.9/20) pg/mL for DM1 and control group, respectively. Differences were calculated by the Mann–Whitney test.
