Arginine Relieves the Inflammatory Response and Enhances the Casein Expression in Bovine Mammary Epithelial Cells Induced by Lipopolysaccharide

Effect of Arg on the mRNA expression and phosphorylation levels of PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway in LPS-treated BMECs. Pure 2nd generation BMECs were starved for 16 h and then cultured for 12 h in DMEM/F12 medium containing 0 or 10 μg/mL LPS and 0 or 100 μg/mL Arg. The mRNA levels of PI3K, AKT, and mTOR were analyzed using qPCR. Protein expression and its phosphorylation level were analyzed using western bolt. β-Actin was used as an internal reference. Data shown are mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. Means with different letters (A, B, or C) are significantly different () from each other.
