Characterization of white and brown adipocytes. Preadipocytes were cultured for 24 hours prior to differentiation for 10 days as described in Section 2. After 10 days, gene expression of UCP-1, CIDEA, PGC1α, and PGC1β was assessed by qRT-PCR from 2 to 3 biological replicates of adipocytes cultured in separate wells.
