<div>Effect of gonadectomy on parasitaemia in CBA/Ca mice infected with <i>P. berghei</i> ANKA. Intact, sham operated, or gonadectomized (GX) female and male mice were infected with <i>P. berghei</i> ANKA. Parasitaemia was measured using Giemsa-stained blood films from day 5 to 9 postinfection.
