Remifentanil reduced production and DNA damage in HAECs. After pretreatment with PBS or remifentanil for 30 min, HAECs were stimulated by LPS for 24 h, superoxide anion production was measured by dihydroethidium (DHE) and DNA damage was determined by comet assay.
