The Liver X Receptor Is Upregulated in Monocyte-Derived Macrophages and Modulates Inflammatory Cytokines Based on LXR<i>α</i> Polymorphism

<div>Liver X receptor (LXR) agonists increase LXR<i>α</i> and decrease proinflammatory cytokine levels. (a) mRNA expression of LXR<i>α</i> and ABCA1 was increased in monocyte-derived macrophages treated with LXR agonist (T0901317 or GW3965) after treatment with 40 nM of PMA for 72 h.
