Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1-Induced Protein 1 Is Highly Expressed in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Negatively Regulates Neutrophil Activities

MCPIP-1 degrades the protein levels of proinflammatory cytokine in neutrophils. Peripheral neutrophils () were isolated from patients with active CD (), active UC (), and HC () and stimulated in vitro with LPS (200 ng/mL) in the absence or presence of MG-132 (20 μM) for 3 hours as indicated in Figure 4. Culture medium was replenished, and cells were incubated for another 24 hours. Supernatants were then harvested, and protein levels of IL-1β (a), IL-6 (b), TNF-α (c), IL-8 (d), and IFN-γ (e) were measured by ELISA. , , , and .
