Dextromethorphan Suppresses Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Epigenetic Histone Regulation in the Tumor Necrosis Factor-<i>α</i> Expression in Primary Rat Microglia

<div>Dextromethorphan reduced the LPS-activated enhancement of trimethylated H3K4 expression in TNF<i>-α</i> promoter gene. The TNF-<i>α</i> promoter gene locus included the following subregions relative to the transcription start site: five subregions <i>tnf</i>-<i>α</i> (1~5). The experimental groups were as follows: (C) control, (DM) DM alone, (LPS) LPS alone, and (DM+LPS) DM plus LPS.
