Treatment with <i>Commelina communis</i> Extract Exerts Anti-inflammatory Effects in Murine Macrophages via Modulation of the Nuclear Factor-<i>κ</i>B Pathway

<div>Effect of <i>Commelina communis</i> extract (CCE) treatment on lipopolysaccharide- (LPS-) induced production of cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor- (TNF-) <i>α</i>, interleukin- (IL-) 1<i>β</i>, and IL-6 in RAW 264.7 cells; protein expression (a–c) and mRNA expression (d–f). Cells were pretreated with the indicated concentrations of CCE (0.5, 1, and 1.5 mg/mL) for 4 h and then exposed to LPS for 24 h. Cell supernatants were analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and real-time polymerase chain reaction.
