Treatment with <i>Commelina communis</i> Extract Exerts Anti-inflammatory Effects in Murine Macrophages via Modulation of the Nuclear Factor-<i>κ</i>B Pathway

<div><i>Commelina communis</i> extract (CCE) treatment suppresses I<i>κ</i>B<i>α</i> phosphorylation. Murine macrophages were treated with CCE for 4 h and then exposed to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for 1 h. The expression of both phospho- (p-) and total I<i>κ</i>B<i>α</i> in the cytosolic protein fraction was evaluated using western blotting (a) and quantitated using the relative expression of <i>β</i>-actin (b).
