Umbilical Cord Tissue-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Induce T Lymphocyte Apoptosis and Cell Cycle Arrest by Expression of Indoleamine 2, 3-Dioxygenase

<div>UC–MSCs suppressed CDK4 expression in cocultured T lymphocytes. Cultured T lymphocytes were stimulated for 120 h with PHA in the presence or absence of hUC-MSCs and 1-MT. At harvest, the mRNA was isolated and subjected to RT-PCR to assess changes in CDK4 expression. The data are presented as the means ± SD from 3 independent experiments.
