Cancer Stem Cells from Tumor Cell Lines Activate the DNA Damage Response Pathway after Ionizing Radiation More Efficiently Than Noncancer Stem Cells

<div>Sphere cultures from HeLa and MCF-7 cells are less sensitive to ionizing radiation. (a) Clonogenic assay indicated that up to a 5 Gy IR dose, HeLa ML died while HeLa SP continued to proliferate.
