Antioxidant Properties of Tonsil-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells on Human Vocal Fold Fibroblast Exposed to Oxidative Stress

Viability and proliferation of human vocal fold fibroblasts (hVFFs) after tert-butyl hydroperoxide (tBHP) treatment and coculture with tonsil-derived mesenchymal stem cells (TMSCs). (a) Cell viability was significantly decreased following treatment with tBHP in a dose-dependent manner. (b) Of the different hVFF : TMSC ratios examined, 1 : 0.5 ratio exhibited significant recovery of cell viability.
