PTHG2 interacts with PTH (1-34) R1 to activate adenylate cyclase (AC), activate second messenger cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA), phosphorylation CREB into nucleus, and control downstream target genes expression, such as osteogenic genes (OCN/RUNX2/Osterix) and adipocyte production markers (Fabp4/PPARÉ£/Adiponectin).
