Human ES Cell Culture Conditions Fail to Preserve the Mouse Epiblast State

<div>Epithelial-mesenchymal transition occurs during maturation to the PS-like state. (a) Western Blot analysis of the markers involved in WNT and TGF<i>β</i> signaling pathways in the indicated samples (relative quantification graph: Figure <a href="https://static-preview.hindawi.com/articles/sci/volume-2021/8818356/figures/#supplementary-material-1">S2A</a>). Activin/nodal (pSMAD2) and WNT (active <i>β</i>-catenin) signaling were highly active by 6 days of AA/F2 treatment, compared to 3 days. Actb: control. (b) Western blot analysis of the epithelial marker CDH1 protein in the indicated samples.
