ILC1s in graft versus host disease (GvHD) and in small intestine organoids (SIO): (a) Increase in the expression profiles of ILC1 derived homing markers is an indication of no GvHD whereas their low expression is a marker of progression of severe GvHD. (b) In the coculture conditions, the ILC1s drive expansion of the intestinal epithelial stem cells through TGFb1-p38γ-induced phosphorylation, induce CD44v6 expression, and thereby, SIO proliferation.
