Mesenchymal Stem Cells Inhibit the Effects of Dexamethasone in Multiple Myeloma Cells

<div>The presence of MSCs suppressed the inhibitory effects of dexamethasone on cell proliferation. (a, b) The OPM-2 or RPMI8226 cells were cocultured with MSCs in a 6-well transwell microplate with or without dexamethasone (10 <i>μ</i>M). After 48 hours, cell viability was determined using the MTT assay. Besides, (c–f) cell number and colony formation assays were also determined on the OPM-2 and RPMI8226 cells.
